"The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos des Forêts Saint Georges 1er Cru is very elegant on the nose with brambly red berry fruit, touches of damp loamy soil and just a very slight ferrous aroma. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, very focused and pure with just the right amount of acidity. Very harmonious, this is a gorgeous Clos des Forêts that should give 15-20 years of drinking pleasure (at least). Drink: 2025-2050." Vinous
"43% whole bunch. A rich deep dense purple colour. Concentrated dark fruit, there is a plummy richness to the fruit, suggests maybe picked a day or two late. Pleasingly fresh finish, almost a bit angular, as if there are two parts to the wine which have not yet fully integrated. The structure suggests picked a fraction too early, the fruit says it needed to be harvested." Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy 94p
"(from an enormous 7.1 ha monopole planted in the early 1950s). Deep ruby. Markedly earthy aromas include notes of garrigue, poached plum, cassis and a smoky component. The rich, energetic and well-detailed larger-scaled flavors evidence solid muscle and power on the moderately rustic, balanced and complex finale. This beautifully long effort is a classic Nuits in style. Drink: 2032+" Burghound 93p
